Fifteen years
of turning up.
APF is a family business built in Hull, working across East Yorkshire. No franchise fees, no call centre, no scripts — just a small team that has spent 15 years getting this right.
Started local. Stayed local.
Nobody enjoys the moment they realise something is living in the loft. Droppings in a cupboard, scratching at two in the morning, wasps streaming out of a soffit — it makes a home feel like it isn’t quite yours any more.
That feeling is the whole reason APF exists. For over 15 years we’ve been the family-run team people across Yorkshire ring when they want the problem gone and want it explained properly — not upsold, not dressed up in jargon, and not left half-finished.
We’ve built the business almost entirely on people passing our number to a neighbour. That only works if every job is done properly, so that’s the standard we hold ourselves to.

Five things we won’t compromise on
Qualified and insured
Every technician is trained, certificated and fully insured. Rodenticides and insecticides are used strictly within their approved conditions — no shortcuts, ever.
Humane by default
We reach for the least harmful effective option first. Bee swarms get rehomed with local keepers. Birds get proofed out, not poisoned. Traps go in where poison doesn’t belong.
Plain English
You get told what we found, what we used, what happens next and what you should do. If a job doesn’t need doing, we say so — it costs us a fee and earns us a customer.
Discreet, always
A pest problem is nobody else’s business. Unmarked arrival, quiet working, and no assumptions about whose fault it is — because it usually isn’t anyone’s.
Finish the job
Treatment without proofing is a temporary fix. We come back until activity has stopped, then close the entry points so you’re not ringing us again next spring.
Available when it matters
Pests don’t keep office hours. Our emergency line runs 24/7, year round, for the situations that genuinely can’t wait until Monday.
What to expect when pests arrive
A pest problem rarely announces itself politely. It tends to start as something small and easy to explain away — a noise, a smell, a dropping in the wrong place — and by the time it’s obviously a problem, it’s already established.
The single most useful thing you can do is ring early. Early problems are cheaper, quicker and far less disruptive to deal with than established ones, and we’d far rather have a two-minute conversation that ends with “that’s nothing to worry about” than attend three months later when it’s in the cavity walls.
On the phone
We’ll ask what you’ve seen, where and for how long. From that we can usually tell you the likely species, whether it’s urgent, roughly what it costs and when we can attend. No obligation and no pressure — plenty of these calls end with advice rather than a booking.
On the day
We survey properly before touching anything, because the treatment depends entirely on what we find. You’ll be shown what we’ve located, told what we’re going to do and given clear instructions on anything you need to keep clear of.
Afterwards
You get a written record, a plan for any follow-up visits, and honest advice on proofing. If there’s a structural issue letting them in — a broken air brick, a gap under a garage door, an open roof edge — we’ll show you and tell you what it needs.
Pests don't wait. Neither do we.
Tell us what you've seen and we'll tell you honestly what's involved, what it costs and how fast we can be there.
